“Shadow Dance”

I photographed these pictures of my profile, as a shadow, the other evening in my home.  I was in a melancholy state of mind at the time.  I am happy to say that I am feeling vibrant and alive this evening!

Have a wonderful Monday….remember:  Today is a completely new beginning to the entrance of your future!  If you need a “do-over” TODAY is your day!!!

Blessings….

    • Thank you so much RD! And yes, I have had a great time working on this piece; however, “tweeking” on it would be a better description than “working”. Seriously, I have spent more time on this relatively simplistic appearing painting than I have on a few of my paintings combined! It has been much more difficult for me than it may appear to look. Either way…I am having a blast on it. Have a great week and thank you so much for the comment and your continued support. xo

  1. These are gorgeous! Think they’d look great enlarged and hung on a big, grand wall! Love the colours too. Reminds me of postal stamps that have come alive or something

    • Thank you so very much for the compliment! I am so happy that you enjoyed these pictures. I love your screen name. Apparently you are a lover of Sylvia Plath? So am I. I read The Bell Jar when I was 12 years old and was hooked on her literature. Glad you were able to enjoy my post. I hope you are having a blessed week.

      • I am indeed a lover of Plath. That’s a pretty intense read for a 12 year old!! I’m glad I was still sitting comfortably in the world of Harry Potter at age 12 😛

      • You are a lucky girl….I often wish I had not experienced Plath at that age; however, I suppose it has served me in many other ways…in regard to my development. I have never read Harry Potter! Have a beautiful Thursday and upcoming weekend:)

  2. Lovely work Kimberly! I love painting at that time of night….not that I have a patch on you. I guess I should post some of my art at some point! In the mean time, I’ll just enjoy looking at yours. Jen

    • Thank you so much Jen! I am so happy you enjoy some of my work. Us insomniacs need to stick together, right? Lol. Have a super week….and you really SHOULD start posting some of your work. I would love to see it.
      Cheers,

      • I did post one last night – I think I would be embarrassed for you to look at it though. lol. The only reason I will be posting my work is to show that side of myself as part of my blog!! Thank you very much for your reply. Jen x

      • I love, love, love Fibonacci Fish! You are a very talented artist with a rich imagination. You should definitely not be embarrassed to share your work. I would enjoy seeing more of your work. Consider it. I really have no idea what I am doing, I just do it. I am 100% self-taught so I never know how something is going to turn out. Keep doing what you do. I really enjoy reading your blog:) Have a wonderful weekend.

        Warmly,
